Hiss Church is collecting hygiene kits for UMCOR (United Methodist Committee on Relief) to assist people in crisis. At this moment, they are desperately needed to help the people of Texas who are suffering after the severe weather of the last several weeks.
Below is a list of the supplies needed. They may be dropped off at the church on Sunday mornings through March 14th. Be sure to look for an appropriate location to drop off in the narthex as we continue to collect food for Victor’s Vittles.
Sunday, March 14th is UMCOR Sunday so this is an appropriate time. Make checks payable to Hiss UMC and make a notation for UMCOR Sunday.
You may also wish to contribute to UMCOR by making a donation to Hiss UMC and noting US Disaster Relief on your check. You may make a donation directly to UMCOR online at https://umcmission.org/united-states-disaster-response/ . Your gifts allow UMCOR to be present wherever and whenever need arises. Please consider making a donation as a response to Christ’s call to reach out to others in need.
Thank you in advance for your donations both monetary and hygiene or food items.
